Day 1 - Grip us to free our land

Grip us to free our land. For many people the idea of seeing countries and people abroad changed by the Gospel thing is not a strange thing. We know God can change the hearts of tribesmen in the heart of Africa, but for God to move in Canada, well, that would be a violation of Human rights. We need to put that idea aside and focus on the salvation of everyone in Canada; Muslim, Hindu, Jew, homosexual, trans-gender etc. Everyone needs Jesus. I pray that God would grip us with this reality. We need to realize that we don’t need to cleanse ourselves of sin before coming to Christ, Jesus Christ is the bath that cleanses our sin. Oh God, make it real for us. We need to make it our greatest priority. There are so many things which come between us, and God’s desire for everyone to be saved. We need to seek first the kingdom of God. Disunity is probably the single greatest threat to the Body of Christ. Read that sentence a few times, let it sink in. We have all heard many sermons on unity, because disunity is so common. When churches discover how to defeat disunity and come together for the glory of God, the world gets turned on its head. The church is a gift from God to the cities in which the church exists. Unfortunately, because we don’t always do a good job at being that gift, many of cities are like disappointed little boys on Christmas Morning opening boxes of broken toys with missing parts and unclear instructions manuals. If the church is a gift it needs to be complete, presentable and ready to serve. If the church is a gift, it needs to be in good working order. If the church is a gift, it needs to function as it was designed. If the church is a gift, we need to be worthy of the giver. Prayer Pointers 1)      Let us ask forgiveness for our individualism that goes so much against the work of God. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to reveal this in our lives and show us what needs to change. Let us pray that He would deliver us from this spirit which is so contrary to His nature and His character. 2)      Let us ask forgiveness for our worship of reason that leads us to criticism instead of manifesting love. Let us ask Him to shine His light on any attitudes that are an obstacle. Let us ask for His powerful intervention in and through our lives. Let us pray that He would make a deep change in our attitude. 3)      Let us ask forgiveness for the fears that make us passive. Let us confess them and bring them to Him. 4)      Let us ask for courage, assurance, and boldness to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ at every occasion.  5)      Let us ask the Holy Spirit to grip us so that our weakness can be transformed into life-giving power. 6)      Let us ask the Holy Spirit for humility to unite as the Body of Christ. To lay aside our denominational difference for the sake of the Glory of God.heal our land

This video was emailed to me by someone. It really captures the heart of the Minsitry.

Watch the video, and email me anything that the Lord reveals to you, that it may encourage and build-up the body of Christ.
